The Dark Knight

Last Wednesday Tracy and I decided to go and see the Dark Knight, which is the new Batman movie. Let me just say that it is by far the best Batman made to date. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, I actually cried at one point and Heath Ledger as the Joker was incredible. Anyways, I loved the movie so much I was anxious to see it again, but I didn’t realize that would be yesterday. Jiny got the vice-principal to ok me leaving school at noon, so we could go for lunch with Yeong Seong and then head to a movie. We ate in Song-do and then headed to the CGV to watch the movie. When we got to the CGV the movie didn’t start until 2:50 p.m. and it was only 1:45. That meant that we had to hang out at the movie theatre for over an hour waiting for the movie to start. This wouldn’t have been so bad, but I was stuck pretending to be nice to Yeong Seong who has come to creeping me out a lot and making small talk with him and Jiny. I love Jiny to bits and she has been so great to me since arriving in Korea, so I don’t mind doing outside school activities with her, but it’s hard for me to be mean and say I don’t want to hang with Yeong Seong. Anyways, when 2:40 rolled around we headed to the theatre, found and seats and awaited the Dark Knight. I wasn’t a big fan of the little kids sitting in front of us at the movie. The little boy couldn’t have been a day over 5. The movie wasn’t really suitable for his age group and I was scared he would cry out or scream right in the middle of it. There are some scary parts and some rather disturbing parts that I don’t think kids should be watching. Anyways, I was really tired, so I ended up falling asleep at a couple different parts in the movie, so it was a good thing I’d seen it already. However, even seeing it a week after I saw it the first time it was still AMAZING and I can’t wait to watch the whole Batman series one of these days when I’m bored at school with nothing to do. If you haven’t seen the movie already you should definitely add it on your list of things to do. It was that good of a movie that it got its own post.
