Cambodia: Chapter 3

Our second full day in Cambodia we returned to Angkor Wat to visit more temples. However, there are over 100 temples that make up Angkor Wat, so we obviously didn't see it all. Plus, we were smarter our second day to Angkor Thom and hired a tuk tuk driver for the day. Again, I have just posted some of my favorite pictures below with captions for your viewing pleasure.

Since we didn't finish Angkor Thom the day before we finished our second day. This is just a different temple in Angkor Thom. I forget the name of it though.

This is the view from the top of the temple stairs.
Ok, so I clearly have more than one cheesy vacation photo. This tree actually resembles an elephant if you look at it from the side.
The landscape alone is reason enough to visit Angkor Wat. This is just a view from the exit of Angkor Thom. I just thought the gargoyle with half a face was kind of cute, so I got a picture with him. This is just one of the many temples in Angkor Wat. I forget the name we saw so many.
This tree resembles a snake. It was in the temple used for the movie, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

First we were told this was the tree from the Tomb Raider movie, so we got all excited and took pictures. BUT...

This was actually the tree that was used in the movie, Tomb Raider.

Another random temple that I most certainly forgot the name of as well.

This is my last picture of the temples of Angkor Wat. I hope you enjoyed!

It's not uncommon in Cambodia to see small children wandering the streets begging for food, money, etc. The day Mary Anne, Missy and I decided to go shopping at the market this adorable little boy came up to us wanting money. Instead, Mary Anne gave him a sticker, which he was quite happy with, but it wasn't enough. He hung around us and followed us for a bit hoping he could get more. The only thing I could think about was getting shoes for his feet, so he could stop walking around barefoot.

Here he is trying to figure out Mary Anne's sticker that she gave him.
