These are the shapes I traced on to the construction paper and then cut out into squares. The students will be making animals, so they will have to cut the shapes out and glue them together to create the animal.
This is a close-up of the 'Lion' that the students can choose as one of the animals to make.
Tracing all of the animal shapes onto the construction paper and then cutting them out into individual squares was very time consuming, but I'm glad I got ahead for camps and I can't wait for the students to make the animals. I hope that the Arts and Crafts project turns out for the better and that the students have enough time for it. I also spent about 30 minutes creating a game board, much like that from the game 'Clue'. One of my lesson plan topics is, My House. I will introduce the students to the main rooms in a house and the furniture that goes in that specific room. The game I have planned to play with them is much like Clue, but condensed and easier. They will basically, go around the board going in different rooms of the house and they will have to make sentences using the words learned. Ex, "I am in the Kitchen. I'm sitting at the table."
I decided to also take a picture of the game board because I'm pretty proud of the job I did. It's still not finished, but looks good nonetheless.
I haven't really done much this week, but I have taken advantage of the noon dismissals. I've gone to the gym, bought US dollars for Cambodia, caught up on laundry, went to the market and got another Korean hair cut. I'm still trying to decide if I like the hair cut. I just got it done yesterday, but I need to do it for myself before I decide what I think. I did manage to meet up with some friends a couple days this week for lunch and dinner, which was nice and I went for some drinks with Lindsay at Mad Max in Yeonsu last night. While we were enjoying our drinks this older Korean couple came in and sat at a table by us. I noticed the lady had a tattoo on her arm and I couldn't figure out if it was real or fake, so I took a picture.
Lindsay and I decided that the tattoo must be fake because it looked faded and it was too funny of a situation to be real...you decide.
Anyways, I'm spending the rest of today packing for my trip and then I might catch a movie with Laura later on this evening.
Just so you know, I will be absent from blogging for the next week because I will be in Cambodia, so once I return to Korea I will post all about my trip.
