School Night Hang Outs!

I haven't blogged in over a week, because nothing exciting has happened. Well, nothing really worth blogging about. I got to talk to my family and my friend Brittany via Skype at school last week, watched some TV and movies as per usual and survived the wrath of Korea summers. On Wednesday I'm usually very busy during the week trying to hang out with my Incheon friends because I spend the weekends with my Seoul friends, so Wednesday night I had dinner plans my friend Joanne. She lives about 30 minutes away by train and came to Yeonsu for some dinner and drinks with me. It's nice when friends come to my neck of the woods because we are always in the Bupyeong area and they never want to make the trek out here.
Anyways, since we were meeting until 7:00 for dinner I decided I would walk to Tracy's place from school to get exercise and be out in the sun. I decided to document the beautiful park pathway I take out of new Song-do.
I stopped on the way to Tracy's because I had to pee, so I went to one of the train stations bathroom and afterwards I ended up buying a $15 pair of flip flops and a $10 pair of shoes. I bought the flip flops to wear to Mud Festival on the weekend, which will be another blog in itself.
At 7:00 Tracy, Joanne, Nicole and I headed for dinner at this really great galbi restaurant that gives you a ton of side dishes with your meal. Plus, the meat there is not as fattening as most galbi places, so it tastes way better. We ordered some beers with our meal and chatted for about an hour and a half. Then we headed over to a local pub called Mad Max. They serve many different beers from all around the world and the most amazing caramel popcorn that you can munch on while you drink. Nick, Chris, Paul and Lindsay joined us at Mad Max for some drinks and some munchies. Left: Joanne and Nick at Mad Max. Right: I decided to try on Nick's coke bottle glasses and this is how huge my eyes looked in them. Joanne just couldn't contain herself when she saw them on me.
We stayed at Mad Max for quite a few hours drinking and being ridiculous, as you can see above. Then we ventured to a Korean restaurant for a miniture late night snack around midnight, but we ended up being so tired, so we both took off around 1:00 and headed for home.
Thursday morning again came to soon, but just one of the prices I have to pay for being a teacher and drinking on a school night. I only got 4 hours of sleep , so school was tough, but I'm finding lately that more tired I am when teaching the faster the days go by. After school, Jiny, Mrs. Kim and I headed out for dinner. We ate an Italian inspired meal at the Sorrento's below my building. It was suppose to be an English teachers dinner, so we could discuss summer camp, but the grade 4 and 5 English teachers couldn't attend. After we finished eating dinner Jiny and Mrs. Kim wanted to hang out, but was so tired, so they let me leave, so I could go up to my apartment and sleep.
