Ok, so I've been slipping on the blogs lately and it's not because I don't want to write them, but I keep having a moddy internet connection in my apartment and it turns out I'm busier than expected during the week. Last week was a rather busy week due to the fact that I had a three day camp from Tuesday - Thursday, so I had no internet access during the day and I was busy being social in the evenings, which tends to get the best of me sometimes. The camp went by quite well, but it was so boring and the classes were 50 minutes each and we had to teach one class twice in a row. It was also at a different elementary school and I got stuck with a Korean co-teacher that drives everyone crazy because she is so picky and needy and she calls on me for help with all English festivals in Incheon. Luckily, I only had to work with her the first day-first class. Unfortunately, she was my free ride to school, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much. Camp ended Thursday and that is when things got crazy.
Here is my class doing the Arts and Crafts project I was in charge of for the camp. They were making books on Canada. This is them painting the outside of their book.
This is me with one of the girl students in my class. Her English name was Julia, so we already had a special bond. I thought a picture together was appropriate.
Nicole, a friend from Incheon renewed her contract for a second year, so she was heading home to Canada for two weeks and then to Vietnam for summer vacation so she had a mini-going away party with all her close friends and a couple friends she wasn't go to see anymore because they leave before she is back :( The night started off without Nicole, actually. I met up with Valerie, Shana, Nick and Chris at a Shabu Shabu restaurant in Yeonsu while we waited for Nicole to get ready. Since it was taking her such a long time to get ready we all headed overto Mad Max to get the real party started. We joined Lindsay and May at the bar and that is when the real fun began.
Nick and Chris are soul mates who met in Korea. Here they pose with a polaroid of themselves, courtesy of May at Mad Max.
Then trouble came along. Chris demonstrating our 5L of beer in this cute little barrel keg.
Look, Nicole finally decided to show up and join her going away party. Lindsay, Nicole and Me loving life at Mad Max, but that could be the 5L of beer :)
May's polaroid camera was out of control. Here are Lindsay and I on display in the arms and legs of a pirate missing his elbow at Mad Max.We stayed at Mad Max until about midnight before Nicole wanted us to move the party to Diane nightclub by the Art Centers. Since it was raining and we were already drunk we quickly ran into the corner store and bought more drinks for the road and then headed by taxi to the nightclub. As you know Korean nightclubs are nothing like Western nightclubs. There are about 5 or 6 Korean men who are waiting at the entrance of the club to escort you into the club to a table. From there you order drinks, get a fruit platter and dance the night away. However, you may or may not get booked by Korean men looking to buy girls drinks and perhaps take them home...that usually never happens though.

Here is the crew at Diana nightclub: Chris, Nick, Me, Lindsay, May, Nicole and Damien.
Shana and I on the dance floor at Diana. I look like the one-eyed hunchback puckering her lips. This was close to the end of the night, so things were a little out of hand.
We left Diana around 3:00 a.m. or 4:00 a.m. and some of us were still wanting to party, so Nicole, Lindsay, a Korean friend, Sehun and I went to a restaurant that was still open and chilled out with drinks on the patio. I ended up standing up quickly at one point and because my flip flops are so slippery in the rain I wiped right out and landed on my ass and back. It was really funny, but then I ended up with a bruise on the palm of my left hand and my left shin. Once we finished at the restaurant around 5:00 a.m. Nicole wanted to play the soccer machine and she ended up wiping out as well, so we both ended up with bruises on our bodies after that night. When we finally called it a night we took a taxi home and Nicole ended up passing out on my floor until about 9:00 a.m. when I woke her up, so she could head home and get ready to get on her plane at 4:00 p.m. to head home to Canada for a few weeks.
