Dinner with the Girls!!

While at school today, myself and Shana (she has been in Korea with the same company as me since September) chatted over face book for about two hours about where to meet for the first time. We decided today we would go for dinner. So, after school finished Jiny drove me to my apartment to change and then she drove me 15 minutes to Homever, which is a very large department store in Guwol-dong. There I met Shana, Katy and Karen and they took me to their favorite Chinese food restaurant. We ate and chatted and dinner was only $10/person. After, dinner the girls took me to E-mart, their version of Wal-Mart. I was looking for an adapter and some toilet paper and paper towels. No luck with the adapter, so Shana asked me if I wanted to check Homever instead. I agreed and, so Karen made her purchases and off we all went for the trek to Homever. On the way, I figured out what buses to take to meet up with the girls in the future, very exciting. Shana and I walked Katy and Karen to their street and then we went together to Homever. When we got there it was a giant maze for me, but not for Shana; thank god for her. No luck again with the adapter, but I did purchase $1.00 shower slippers and my toilet paper and paper towels. Then Shana walked me to a cab to make sure the driver knew where to take me and we parted ways. Here is the best part of the night, my 15 minute or more cab ride only cost me $7.30. How amazing is that? You would not find that anywhere in Canada. Once, I got dropped off I finished cleaning my apartment and put up my decor from home up to make my apartment more mine and homier. Again, once I get internet access in my apartment I will post pictures, in the meantime the blogs will look very boring and the same. Then I took a break and I'm here in the PC Bang typing out blog after blog. The guy that works here came over to me when I first got here and gave me a hot chocolate, very sweet thing to do. Koreans are so nice! P.S. The adapters I came to Korea with ended up working, I was just incompetent when I first tried them, so good thing I didn't buy one.
