Our first real day in Boracay brought us rain and no sunshine. It was a little disappointing because we were hoping for nothing but sunshine and tans. We decided to make the most of our rainy day anyways, so we just headed to the main strip for some lunch and *fingers crossed* hoped for the rain to stop.
This is a view from our hotel patio of just how bad the weather was.
Sunday night we met with our Dutch friends AJ and Monique, and Sean again for some dinner and drinks. We headed back to the same seafood restaurant as the night before because the fish is so good and none of us can find it this good where we are from.
Check out this delicious lobster I'm holding, but didn't order.
Here is the Boracay night crew, Sean, Me, Nicole, AJ and Monique.
Nicole and I are getting ready for the dance party to start at the seafood restaurant. It turns into a dance party later in the night.
AJ, Sean, Nicole and I busting a move during the dance party, we totally started.
We then moved on to Summer Place and bumped into our local friends we met the night before, Mark and May.
Our bartender friends that work at Summer Place and treated us really good.
Monday brought us a nicer day. It still was not gorgeous out, but there was enough sun to make a trip down to the beach.
Kite surfing was very popular and the wind was perfect for it.
The beach was beautiful even on this not so overly sunny day.
That night we returned to Summer Place yet again. It was the best place for music and dancing, so we couldn't turn it down. Now, let me just briefly mention that Boracay was littered with Koreans.
We met this adorable couple from Busan wearing their matching outfits, chilling at Summer Place with some hookah.
This is our adorable waitress from the seafood restaurant that we also frequented. We bumped into her at Summer Place.
Tuesday brought us absolutely beautiful weather. There was no sign of rain in store, so Nicole and I took advantage and made our way to the beach to go for a walk.
How can one not enjoy this beautiful beach and the weather?!?!
This was a really neat boat shaped rock that you could swim too and enjoy.
I think this is one of my favorite pictures I took of the beach. There is just something about it I really love.
Nicole and I decided we wanted to head to the other side of the Island, so we hoped on a trike and headed to the other side.
I attempted to take a picture of us during our trike ride and it turned out pretty damn good considering this was the farthest away I could hold the camera.
During one of our walks on the other side we passed by some local boys playing a fun game of basketball.
The local school kids are absolutely adorable. The boy in the middle making the "Peace" signs, was hilarious. We walked by and he goes, "Yo Yo Yo, wassup?"
These three kids were so sweet. They wandered the beach and then decided to build a fort out of whatever things they could find on the beach.
Tuesday night we all opted for a chill night. One chill night was necessary after the wild and crazy nights we had had since we got there. While we were all chilling out listening to some live music I decided to get a tattoo...don't worry mom, it's only henna.
I have a love for dragonflies, so this is a traditional style dragonfly. This is the style I want when I get a real tattoo.
