Just Some Ordinary Days!!

The week after Mud Festival was pretty uneventful. I had to come to school Monday and Tuesday, but I got Wednesday - Friday off, which was great. Holly, Nicole and I met for dinner one night and I was really craving dulkgalbi, so we decided to head to this usual dulgalbi spot in Yeonsu. However, on our way to it we found a new place that we hadn't been before, so we decided to check it out. This is what they served us for three people: When we went to pay afterward, the lady serviced some of our meal for us and we think it is because we are foreigners and the first ones she had seen in her restaurant.
I decided to take some pictures of my school on the kindergarten side. I had no idea they had a sandbox to play in, how fun is that?!?! The sandbox surrounded by benches for their parents to watch them. This is a look at the playground, water fountain and sandbox. The principal is obsessed with flowers and plants, so it looks like a jungle.
Holly and I have become noraebang (karaoke room) fiends. We have decided to check out some noraebangs in our area and see, which ones are good and which ones to avoid. Our first stop was, City Noraebang.
Holly shows karaoke what shes made of, belting out a tune. My turn to shine at karaoke, and shine I did.
This is a look at the room we had.
We were impressed because the song books were all updated and new and the noraebang was new as well.
Saturday I had a friend come visit from Cheonan. We met at Mud Festival the previous weekend and we wanted to see each other again, so he decided to bus about an hour and half to com see me in Incheon. That weekend happened to Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival, so we decided to eat some dinner, have a few drinks and then head to Pentaport, which was conveniently a 10 minute bus ride from my house. Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.
This was the main stage where the bigger acts played. We met up with Nicole, who was drunk as a skunk. Me overjoyed that they served MGD, one of my favorite beers. This is an older famous rock group from Korea called NEXT. They were really good. This is the Korean group W&Whale. They are absolutely amazing, but even better live. The lead singer is adorable and has such good stage presence. Nicole and Paul both putting on their best drunk faces. My friend Daniel and I enjoying the festival together.
When we had had enough of the festival I was hungry and wanted some food, so we headed back to my area and went to jijimi for some budu kimchi and soju. Then we called it a night. It was really good to see Daniel, but I felt bad that I couldn't speak more Korean to him. I promised him I would practice and get better.
