Oh Canada!: I Bid You Adieu!

On Wednesday night I headed to the South to go to my chiropractor appointment. When I finished getting my back worked on I met my friend Amelia for dinner at Boston Pizza. She had a baby boy last August and this was my first time meeting him. She was also going through a rough time, so it was great to see her and be there for her.
Liam is quite arguably the cutest 'almost' one year old, i've ever met.
I mean, look at those BIG blue eyes. how can you not love him.
Liam and I look together. I will make a great mom some day.
Mommy and baby, Amelia and Liam.
Amelia and I had a much needed Kodak moment in the BP's parking lot.
After dinner, I headed to meet my friend Jenna for some coffee and conversation. We hung for just over an hour before I headed back to the North to meet some friends and my sister for drinks at Kilkenny's.
Yvette and I at Kilkenny's. I think I saw her the most out of all my friends.
Kirsten and I at Kilkenny's. She is my favoriyte South African friend.
Mackenzie and I leaving Kilkenny's. I saw him a few times as well, which was nice.
Thursday was my last day in Canada and I still had appointments to take care of. First appointment of the day was getting my hair died, which was exciting and turned out great. My second appointment I had to go all the way down South, yet again, to pick up my prescription sunglasses. That only took about 15 minutes, so I headed to visit my cousin's and aunt at my aunt's place in the South. I hung out with them for a bit before I had to head to my doctor's appointment in the North. I was at the doctor for about half an hour and when I was finished I headed to visit Tessa for one last time. While at Tessa's i found out Farrah Fawcett had died, finally losing her battle with cancer, but the most shocking news was finding out Michael Jackson had died. They were only speculating he was dead, nothing had been confirmed, but when we parted ways I got home, that is when they confirmed he had died. So, crazy!
I spent my last night in Canada with my mom, dad and sister. We enjoyed a home cooked meal, steak and potatoes with some cold beers. Then we just spent the night chatting, packing and doing last minute stuff. My friend Janell came for a visit later Thursday night and she brought a bottle of wine, so we drank some wine and caught up with each others lives.
Friday morning we headed to the airport early, so I could get checked in and have some chill time before boarding my plane. I ate my last Tim Horton's meal for a while and hung with my family. Finally, I had to start getting ready to leave, so we stood in the security line together. It took me almost an hour to go through security, which is where I had to say my goodbyes to my parents and my sister. It was definitely easier saying goodbye the second time around.
Security took me so long to go through that when I finally did make it through my airline was doing last calls for boarding and my name was one of them. I would have missed my flight to Vancouver if I had been 5 minutes later going through security. Just goes to show how messed up security is at my airport.
I finally had to say goodbye to my city, who knows when I will return again...LOL!!
The last farewell to the Greatest City on Earth...OK, maybe not. Until we meet again Calgary, GOOD BYE!!
