Lisa's Birthday Party!!

Friday March 20th was Lisa’s birthday party, so we headed to guwol-dong to meet her and friends at VIPS. We just paid to enjoy the salad bar, which was all-you-can-eat. It was perfect for Lauren being vegetarian and all.

We hung out at VIPS for a few hours before moving on to a bar-noraebang, which is rare in Korea. Most noraebangs (singing rooms) don’t let you drink, so this was a treat. Lisa reserved a room for about 20 people, it was massive. We just ordered soju’s and beer and sang our hearts out all night.

*Insert Story Here: I introduced Lauren to soju – I made her try it – she ended up mixing it with orange juice and was drunk after only two drinks.*

Once we had enough of the singing we headed out to the next destination. There were only about 9 of us left at this point. Lisa opted to head to Diana nightclub, but they wouldn’t let us in because they were way too busy and there were too many foreigners. After that, she couldn’t decide where she wanted to go and she was angry with her boyfriend, so she was no longer in the party mood. The few of us that still wanted to drink, Chris, Nicole, Lauren, Me, Lisa and three random Korean guys Lisa’s boyfriend knew went to BOSS and enjoyed some more drinks and food and played some Korean drinking games. Lisa ended up leaving before the drinking games started. Lauren was the only one drunk throughout the entire night and the only one who stayed drunk. I’m so glad I got to get her drunk and she didn’t have to DD either. After BOSS we all separated and headed home, which was at about 7:00 a.m.
