This Weekend Marked One Month!!

The rest of the week was pretty slow following our day off on Wednesday. Friday turned out to be very boring because there were no classes at school on Friday for me, so I sat in the office from 830 - 430. I went a little bit crazy trying to keep myself occupied. Jiny fell asleep at her desk a couple of times and then she left school at 230, so I was by myself (literally) for two hours waiting to go home and then when 430 rolled around I swear I was the only person left in the school, which was kind of freaky, but what can ya do. I enjoyed another leisurely walk home and each day I walk home I feel like the route gets faster and I get home quicker, but I think I'm just getting use to it. Friday night was busy as usual. There was a new foreigners bar opening in Yeonsu, which is the area I live in, so they were having a Name that Bar night. Basically, they were serving free beer and soju all night and each person who came wrote down a name they thought would suit the bar. The winner of the bar name won 200,000 won.

The bar was full of so many foreigners, which was awesome because it allowed me to meet even more new people. It really is a small world here in Korea. I know a girl here who was in one of my English classes at the University of Calgary, crazy!!

Saturday was very unproductive until about 1:00 p.m. I stayed over at Jenn's again because she lived a block from the bar and we slept in and then I got sucker into going to Wolmi Park with Mrs. Kim, my grade 3 co-teacher. She picked me up at my apartment at 3:30 p.m. and her, myself and her two kids who are 5 and 9 in Korean years (that's 3 and 7 in North America) went to Wolmi Park. It was a beautiful day and we got to see the Cherry trees start to blossom and we went up to the top of the tower in Wolmi Park and did a bunch of walking around. My legs were killing me from the 100's of stairs we climbed. Her daughter was crying climbing all the stairs, but she was a trooper. Her son was running up the stairs and it was killing me to watch how fast he could go. I remember the days I could run up stairs without needing a break. Anyways, Mrs. Kim's husband picked us up from Wolmi Park and he was a very shy man, but so cute. They took me for Chinese food, which was good. I ate a type of jellyfish, how adventurous am I? It was really hard to chew and once I knew what it was I couldn't stomach it anymore. I didn't get dropped off at home until 7:30 p.m. so it was a long day, but it was fun. I ended up having a very lazy Saturday. I basically, sat in my apartment and watched House all night until I fell asleep at 11:00 p.m.
