Busy Busy Weekend!!

Friday night was a lot better than Friday during the day when I had to endure a pigs head. I met up with Andrew, Bryn, Nathan, Karalee and Scott and we headed to Rock Bar in Bupyeong to drink $1 beers and play beer pong. Andrew and I had to leave to go get my friend Jenn and her friend Justin because she didn't know how to get to Rock Bar. When we got to Bupyeong station we ran into people from Orientation and invited them to come enjoy some cheap drinks and beer pong as well. Now, the beer pong isn't as high class as it would normally be with the proper table, but pushing two tables together served just fine. Jenn, Justin and I were a team against some guys we didn't know. They schooled us, actually we only lost by one beer, but we still lost. After, Rock Bar we headed over to G7 because that is the place to be on Friday nights. Pretty much all the foreign teachers hang out there and drink their faces off and dance. Jenn and I were G7 virgins, so we were excited to see what all the commotion was about. The bar wasn't very busy when we first got there, but it got more packed as the night wore on. Here are a couple of pictures from Rock Bar and G7. When I went to leave G7 on Friday I couldn't find my coat. I started freaking out and called Jenn to see if she had taken it, but really why would she take it. Anyways, I ended up finding it under the bench where all the coats were stored and it was soaking wet with alcohol and whatever else was under there. This really sucked because I had no coat to wear home and I was wearing a tank top...Great! Friday ended up being a late night. I didn't get to bed until after 4:00am because I went to stay with Jenn who was having some personal issues, so I was her go to girl. Yes, I feel special. Well, we woke up around noon on Saturday and I had a horrible headache. Turns out she has a dry cleaners in her building, so we took my jacket down there to get dry cleaned. The most hilarious thing happened while there, the lady working actually smelled my coat and then she made this horrible face of digust. Jenn and I started laughing because it was priceless. My coat only cost me $6 to get dry cleaned and I will get it back on Tuesday. Good thing Jenn lives 10 minutes away by bus. Then we went to get some food. I had the most amazing bacon and egg sandwich. When we got back to Jenn's place I wanted to take a look at the pictures from Friday night, but to my utter shock, my camera was missing. I started to panic a little and then realized it was only a camera and all the pictures except for Fridays were downloaded. I started to think of where I could have lost it, since I know I had it when I left G7. When I got home from Jenn's around 3 in the afternoon I started to face book people to see where it could have been. To my amazement one of my friends had my camera. Hallelujah!! Anyways, it sucked having to go home with no coat, but thankfully, it is getting warmer and warmer here, so a coat wasn't necessary. Also, I don't know if I ever mentioned that the bed in my apartment is super uncomfortable. Anyways, Jenn lives by a bedding store that sells foamy type bed comforters, so I decided to by one for my bed to see if it would make my back hurt less and my sleeps more comfortable. I slept pretty good last night and I don't regret for a minute putting money into the comforter. I'm a very light sleeper, so this foamy was a great purchase. *Lauren, it will be your bed when you come to stay with me here ;)* Saturday night there was a Canadian Connections get together for everyone who came to Korea with them. I didn't know if I wanted to go and I decided very last minute that it would be a good idea if I showed. I showed up an hour and a half after it started because the train ride takes me that long because I'm in the complete opposite direction. The get together was at Wild Bills No. 10, which was Western themed and served all sorts of Western style beers. Afterwards, a bunch of us went to Bucheon and ate and had a few beers. We went to a pub called Canada Buddy, but it was way to packed, so moved onto Miller Time, which only served Miller beer and had a Western style menu. I've posted some pictures, including one of the giant pitchers we ordered that are shaped like a bottle of MGD. Today was a rather lazy day. I didn't get up until 12:30 in the afternoon and then I just cooked breakfast, watched some TV and then went for a walk through my neighbourhood to find the post office, buy bananas and eggs. Then I went to Song-do where I teach to have dinner with Lisa. We had Shabu Shabu, which is my favorite Korean meal. Afterwards, we went to CanMore and had a bowl of ice flakes. We still wanted to hang out, so we decided to go noreabanging for about an hour. It was fun with just the two us, but it's a bit more expensive when there is only two. When we finished noreabang we got some coffee and then we headed our separate ways home. Now, I just await Monday morning when it's back to the teaching.
