!!Ain't No Party Like A Hongdae Party!!

After the English Festival Tracy and I headed to Joanne's house for some pre-drinking and dinner before heading to Bucheon to meet the new recruits who just got to Korea. Joanne, Tracy, Carolina, Christa and I arrived at Rhythm and Booze together and met up some friends. Then we eased our way in to talking to the newbies who just got here. There were so many new people that they didn't seem to really care much in meeting us veterans, but I think one day they will be thankful to know us.

Once we had enough of meeting the new recruits a bunch of us headed ino Hongdae for a wild Saturday night of partying. Even some of the newbies joined us for the adventure that awaited us. We took the bus into Hongdae because it's comfortable, we don't need to transfer and it stopped right by the bar we were at.

Once we arrived in Hongdae we headed to the park, so I could meet up with Rudy and wish her 'Happy Birthday' and just hang out and chill for a bit. Since there were so many of us it was really hard for all of us to stick together, so most of us got seperated. The worst thing for me was that I had no minutes on my phone, so I couldn't call or text anyone to find out where they were if I got lost, so I made sure to hang out with at least one person who had a phone. Carolina, Joanne and I ended up hanging out with Rudy and some of her friends for a few hours at a new bar that opened in Hongdae before we left and headed over to Jane Groove to find the rest of our troops. However, when we got to Jane's Groove they weren't there, but lucky for me I Nicole, Lindsay and Lisa were, so we just hung out with them for the night.

We all may have been a little drunk when we bumped into each other, but we sure do love each other.

Lisa and I at Jane's Groove. She is adorable!

Poor Carolina, this was her first night in Hongdae since arriving in Korea a month and a half ago and she just couldn't last. She passed out on the couch at Jane's Groove for over an hour.

Lindsay, Lisa, part of Joanne and I having an amazing night at Jane's Groove.

I met this random guy at Jane's Groove. He was hilarious and topless at one point during the night. Plus, he was a pretty insane dancer.

Nicole, Lisa and I make a very pretty trio. I love these girls like family.

Lisa brought one of her students out to Hongdae to party, so I took advantage and took our picture. He was a total cutie and super nice.
Now, an update on Carolina. The poor girl was so done it was ridiculous. She didn't leave her spot on the couch the entire time we were at Jane' Groove. I'm just showing her a little love her and to let her know it's ok to be that drunk.

We were lucky enough to meet a famous Korean singer last night at Jane's Groove who was nice enough to take a picture with us. He was a party animal.

Joanne's night pretty much ended when she passed out on Carolina at Jane's Groove. We sent the two of them off in a cab when Carolina started to get sick outside on the street and in the cab. You know you drank too much when you are passed out cold on a couch in a bar. The night continued on for Nicole, Lindsay, Lisa and I though. We decided to head to Harlem night club to end the night with a bang.

Lisa and I at Harlem nightclub. We had to pay 10,000 won cover to get in, but we got a free drink out of it and they had lockers for our bags.

Lisa, Nicole and Lindsay at Harlem nightclub. I'm so glad I bumped into these girls on Saturday night because we always have so much fun together.

We didn't leave Harlem nightclub until we got kicked out at closing time. Once we left the club we headed to grab some early morning breakfast. We ate dukgalbi, Korean pancake and enjoyed a pitcher of soju cocktail. When we finished eating we headed to the bus stop to take the bus home. It was just after 8:00 a.m. when we got on the bus and we all slept the entire bus ride home. Since I didn't get home until 9:00 a.m. this morning I ended up calling in sick to the English Festival. I felt bad, but working on the weekend is part of my job description and it isn't my real job anyways it was voluntary, but I was getting paid. It sucks I'm missing out on a day of pay, but it's better than going there without any sleep and feeling sick all day.
