Good-Bye Grade 3 and 6!

Last week was my last week the grade 3's and the grade 6's. It was a sad week because I love love love my grade 3's, so not teaching them anymore is really sad for me. The grade 6's are a little easier to say good-bye to because they were becoming more and more ignorant as the days went by. They know they are moving on to middle school next year, so they think that has earned them the right to be arrogant and misbehaved. The grade 3's were easy and fun to teach last week because they were just doing a role-play. I remembered to bring my camera to get some pictures of my favorite grade 3 students, so I will always have them with me and remember them. Here are just a few pictures of some of the grade 3's doing the role-play.
Two grade 3 girls I like. This girl is so cute. One day when I was just walking back to school from the bank she stopped me outside and talked to me while her grandmother watched. It was adorable. She also got me to fix her hair for her once in class. I love her. These two students aren't on my favorites list and they struggle with English. I just had to post how teacherly I am and I loved the boys jacket. These two girls always come into my English Zone to talk to me and we watched Korean Pop videos together while they wait for their after school classes to start. The little girl in the pink jacket is my absolute favorite grade 3 student. She is just so cute and her English is impeccable.
The grade 6's are not a pleasure to teach, but last week I got to play Big Bang videos for them at the end of every class, so lucky for me I got to enjoy my favorite Korean pop group and the grade 6's actually behaved while the videos played. Since last Thursday was American Thanksgiving and galbi night a bunch of us got together to eat and celebrate. Most of us weren't American, in fact, only Lindsay and Carolina were, but celebrating with them was fun.
Drunk Tracy and I at galbi where the food is delicious and the company is always great. The only two Americans that celebrated Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving. The token Americans, Lindsay and Carolina. The absolutely delicious piece of pumpkin pie that Rebekah baked and saved for me. Lindsay and I at Mad Max after we finished with galbi.
Friday was a sad for me saying good-bye to the last of the grade 3 and 6 classes. Although the grade 6's are misbehaved there are quite a few of them I'm going to miss. Since I love the grade 3's it makes me sad to think that I will not be teaching them anymore for he remainder of my days in Korea :( The good news is, I still see the grade 3 and 6 students in the hall or during lunch in the cafeteria.
