Friday was a great day because Jiny and I went to pick up my brand new microwave at E-Mart. It only cost 85,000 won and the school paid for it because they have so much money in their budget to spend on me. I can finally eat the delicious microwave popcorn I brought from Canada. After E-Mart Jiny dropped me off at home and I hooked up my microwave all by myself and then I got ready to meet up with the girls in Bupyeong for drinks and dancing. Missy was having all of the girls over to her place for some pre-drinks and chatting before we headed over to G7 for some more drinks, chatting and dancing. So, I got about 5 hours of sleep before I had to meet Alison at the bus stop to head into Seoul. Damien needed to go into Itaewon to pay for his summer vacation trip in August, so Alison and I thought we would go and keep him company and then check out the War Museum. Well, we were a bit late meeting up with him and then he didn't get on the train we were on when we arrived in Bupyeong, so we ended up having to meet in Yongsan. When we got to Itaewon we headed straight to the travel agent and it took about 20 minutes and then Alison and I wanted to check out the English bookstore, so we headed there and ended up bumping into some friends from Incheon. I bought two used books for 5,000 won each, which was great and now I have books to read outside on a sunny day this summer. Afterwards, we grabbed some lunch at this amazing schwarma place and then tried to head to the War Museum. Well, the exhibits closed at 4:00 p.m. and it was nearly 3:00 and we couldn't get a taxi, so we decided to stay in Itaewon for a bit longer and check out a place called the 'Red Door' that sells Western foods. If you don't want to buy them in large quantities at Costco you can buy them individually there. They had Captain Crunch, Lays chip dip and chips, slim fast bars/drinks, Lipton sidekick, etc. It was a very tiny store, but necessary for those days you miss Western foods.
Then we headed back to Incheon and Damien and I decided to join Nick and friend for a soccer game. We seperated from Alison and headed to Munhak Stadium. The soccer games was extremely boring because first of all, it's soccer and second of all it was a tie 0-0. Literally, nothing happened the entire game. Once the game ended a group of us headed to Yeonsu for some delicious ribs and drinks (I stayed sober). Then Nick and some of them wanted to go to Hongdae, but it was getting late, so we headed to Nick's house for more drinks and finally around 12:30 four of them took a cab to Hongdae, which is in Seoul, so about a $40 cab ride and the rest of us headed home. Since I felt so dirty from sweating all day and Chris pouring beer in my hair at the soccer game, etc I decided to have a shower, change my bed sheets and check my face book/email. I finally got to bed around 3:00 a.m.
