Happy Birthday and Going Away Party to Me!!

Yesterday, was my 24th birthday and a GREAT one it was. I decided to have an Asian inspired dinner party, since I am going to Korea and all. I ordered in Chinese food, Vietnamese salad rolls and bought beers from Korea, Thailand and China and Sake from Japan. I figured I may as well get as Asian as can be. Chopsticks were also a must at dinner, the only person who was forced to use them was my dad, everyone else managed just fine. I was mostly excited because my friends from Vernon, Amanda, Jeff and their kid Jamie came all the way out to Calgary to visit me and of course others, but I like to feel special, so I'm saying it was just for me. My friend Brittany made me an AMAZING drawing and wrote me a very sweet letter that had me in tears. I can only imagine what tonight at my going away party will be like if I've already started the "goodbye" waterworks. Since, I'm leaving for Korea next week (that is so soon) saying my goodbyes, packing and paperwork are getting the best of me. I wish moving overseas and away from loved ones wasn't so hard, but I'm going for the AMAZING experience and I hope that it will be a great adventure. Until, my next blog, "drink and be merry!"
